WCCO - How Adults Cope with Autism in the Workplace
WCCO's week long series, Inside Autism, focused on the issues facing individuals with autism and their families. The piece on Tuesday, July 22 looked at adults with autism in the workforce. As part of this piece, WCCO visited PRI job site Bull Run Roasters as an example of successful community employment. They interviewed the owner of Bull Run Roasters, Greg Hoyt, a strong supporter of PRI's. The story featured Alex, a Bull Run employee supported by a PRI job coach.

In addition to the feature story, Dan Reed, PRI's Director of Marketing and Development, appeared on WCCO's morning news program for a further discussion on autism and the supports PRI provides, including the PARTnerships Arts Program.

My Voice, My Vote
My Voice, My Vote is a project to help motivate and teach young adults with disabilities about voting, and about other ways to participate in the political process. My Voice, My Vote, a collaborative project of the Institute on Community Integration, the Humphrey Institute’s Center for Democracy and Citizenship, Partnership Resources Inc., and the Minneapolis Public Schools, with support from the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office, is aimed primarily at Minnesota’s young adults with disabilities, educators in high school and transition programs, and community service providers and advocates.
